SILICON VALLEY STUDY TOUR

In 2005, La Storia nel Futuro, Aizoon and SVIEC teamed up to launch the very first Silicon Valley Study Tour, with a broad, ambitious objective of helping to foster the next generation of technology entrepreneurs.

The Silicon Valley Study Tour provides an important bridge between young graduates, researchers, business angels, and start-ups from Italy with the many successful Italian and Italian American high tech, biotech, clean tech and venture capital executives in the Silicon Valley.

The Silicon Valley Study Tour team created a thoughtful series of seminars, taught by top executives from some of the Silicon Valley’s most cutting-edge startups, well established technology giants and prestigious venture capital firms, to expose graduate and graduating engineering and business students, from leading Italian universities, to the unique entrepreneurial culture of the Silicon Valley.

The results exceeded expectations, producing multiple internships, doctoral theses and employment opportunities. Most importantly, the study tour’s participants return to Italy with a renewed excitement, new tools, new perspectives and a burning desire to one day succeed as entrepreneurs and technology executives.

Over the last two years the program was put on pause due the COVID-19 pandemic, but the SVIEC Foundation is looking forward to helping it re-start its activities.
